2024 Spring 2D Design Intern

REFLECTIONS
Design with a multifaceted perspective
I was thrilled to intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this spring. I enhanced my knowledge of exhibition visuals, marketing strategies, the integration of branding and design, and gaining deeper insights into art history and museum operations.
Over the ten weeks, I had the opportunity to visit all the departments at the Met, gaining insight into their roles and significance within the museum. This experience helped me evolve into a designer with a multifaceted perspective.
Collaboration as much as possible
I worked within a design department composed of three teams, including graphic, exhibition and lighting. I discovered a profound appreciation for collaborative work, which played a crucial role in enriching my professional skills and deepening my understanding of the museum's dynamic environment.
In my efforts to maximize collaboration, I actively sought opportunities to engage with each team, thereby enhancing the creativity and impact of our projects.
